Rate de Silva - Route Master

a.k.a Ahtek. Malaysian. Founder Member of Land Rover Owners Malaysia (LROM). RFC Chief Scout for 9 years, spends at least 3 months a year on reccees in the jungle. Organiser of competitions in Malaysia and Thailand. Originator of Volvo axle conversions to Series 109's. Owner of our fleet of vehicles.

Elizabeth Lewis - Logistics / Administrator

RFC for 8 years, first year attended as journalist and then became a member of organisational team. Freelance photojournalist for UK, Malaysian, Australian and French 4x4 magazines. Lived in Malaysia for 1 year and frequent jungle traveller. Competed in all forms of off-road motorsport during the past 20 years. Administrator for Extreme 4x4 Sport winch challenge competitions in the UK, including the Tough Trucks Trophy.

Alyna Tai - Co-Organiser & Cook

Malaysian. Founder Member of Land Rover Owners Malaysia. RFC Scout Team for 9 years. Accompanies Ahtek on all reccees and trips. Very experienced jungle traveller. Business woman in Kuala Lumpur. Our logistic support in KL.

Liz Lewis lives in Devon, England and works for a specialist 4x4 centre, OEC International Ltd. Publicise and organise the events and the participants, Ahtek and Alyna-based in KL Malaysia. Find and reccee the routes and organise the Malaysian end.

The combination of local know-how and familiarity with the local terrain and customs, along with the organisational experience and extensive expedition contacts of the JTA team make our trips exciting, challenging, safe and fun.
